Meeting spots: Each day, you will need to meet where the blog tells you to go. Each number is that group number. You will also finish your practices at this same place. We really need to work on staying a part from each other. Please help us stay outside and with the team. 

  1. Meet by the moose (entrance to forest trails)
  2. Meet where candy cane lane exits into the stadium
  3. Meet by the timing tower
  4. Meet at the end of the stadium towards Biathlon
  5. Meet in the stadium in the middle

Tuesday Dec 22: Classic intervals it is... I know you're excited! So we will do technique and intervals this session. Each group will be going for a group ski, a quick zone 1 pace, but will be switching out with me as we work on uphill technique. I will be standing midway up the longest hill on Clawridge (where I was a few weeks ago).

Group 1: Coach Shannon, Adam, Signey, Kaitlynn, Lara, Lauren & Nigel
Group 2: Coach Nathan, Miriam, Sara, Mika, Aaron, Jameson & Corwin
Group 3: Coach Theresa, Colson, Troy, Genevieve, Makena
Group 4: Coach Claire, Aiden, Seamus, Liam, Will, Ella & Johanna
Group 5: Coach Caroline, Juniors with Coach Doris

Each Group (excluding the juniors) will go out for a warm-up ski and find Claire on Clawridge at their various times. After your 15min warm-up- athletes will loops of Poplar (cut back around before going into the stadium). All uphill locations are to be zone 3/4. Coaches, I encourage you to cheer on the hills and then bring your group around to find me on clawridge when it's time. 2 groups will have their intervals interrupted with a technique session, unfortunately- it has to be this way. Coaches will leave your team with Claire and take the previous team with you and set them up for the interval loop. Everyone returning to the lodge for 7:15.

Thursday Dec 24 and Saturday Dec 26: Christmas Holidays. Merry Christmas and get out skiing with your families if you can! No official practice.

Tuesday Dec 29: As I'm off work this week, we can do day training sessions!! Classic technique day! Practice will be from 1-3pm.

Group 1: Aiden, Seamus, Liam, Will, Corwin, Jameson and Adam- meet by the timing tower

Group 2: Johanna, Ella, Mak, Lara, Mika, and Sara- meet on the opposite side of the stadium from the timing tower

Group 3: Goose, Wesley, Kaitlynn and Troy- meet by the fence of the lodge

Group 4: Aaron, Genevieve, Miriam and Lauren- meet by the shortcut that comes out of candy cane lane

Group 5: Juniors: meet in the middle of the stadium.

Thursday Dec 31: Skate technique and distance training day. Practice will be from 1-3pm. And most likely groups will change once we're all sorted out.

Group 1: Aiden, Seamus, Liam, Will and Adam- meet by the timing tower

Group 2: Johanna, Lara, Mika, Sara, Kaitlynn, Genevieve, Miriam, Lauren- meet on the opposite side of the stadium from the timing tower

Group 3: Goose, Aaron, Jameson, Corwin and Troy- meet by the fence of the lodge

Group 4: Juniors: meet in the middle of the stadium.

Saturday Jan 2: 10-12 as usual. Come prepared to do some classic distance and interval training!

Group 1: Aiden, Seamus, Liam, Will, Jameson and Adam- meet by the timing tower

Group 2: Johanna, Ella, Mak, Lara, Mika, and Sara- meet on the opposite side of the stadium from the timing tower
