Team wear: The team decided this year that they would like to get custom wapiti t-shirts that match our jackets. Are parents willing to purchase athletic t-shirts for $58-$62 each? Or $62-$68 for a long sleeve. Custom hoodies will be $91-$98. This is how much the custom shirts will cost from the company who has done our uniform logoing for the past five years or so. Or we do what we've always done and go with a hoodie and team design. Please text Claire: 780-933-0853 with your preference- custom, no custom, item of preference (ss, ls, hoodie). REMINDERS:

1. With the weather turning quickly to winter, please dress appropriately for the colder temps. Coaches should not have to hand out equipement to athletes who show up unprepared. You guys aren't that busy right now with no school!!

2. All U16 athletes and older need to have a Nordiq Canada race licence- even if you only plan on racing once this season. Please ensure that you register for this in advance by registering here. Please take the necessary courses as well, otherwise they will revoke your licence. It takes about 1.5 hours, but is important for you as an adult (and parents) to understand the shift in sport and safety for everyone. 

3. Please register for the seaso, by clicking on the following link and register your athlete. You can pay the following methods: credit card on Zone 4, but you are charged a fee; cheque made out to Wapiti Nordic Ski Club (please give to Coach Doris) or e-transfer acctwnsc@gmail.com. If you are paying with e-transfer please include your athlete's name and exactly what you are paying for - eg Full year, one instalment or if you are paying both biathlon and cross country fees at the same time.   Please let Coach Doris know when you have e-transferred so she can confirm with WNSC's bookkeeper.  

You will need to pay the Nordiq Canada and Nordiq Alberta fees online - $25.66.  When you purchase your Wapiti Nordic membership Zone 4 has assured me that if you use the same name and same birthday you will not get charged again. If you have any questions about Zone 4 please contact Claire Doris. Please note: if you're paying with 1 payment this is due by October 15th or 2 payments are due Oct 15 and January 1st.

Tuesday: Meet at Thrill hill and bring your shortest poles that you have plus water and running shoes. 

Thursday: Meet at Muskoseepi with water, waterbottle holders, and runners. 

Saturday: All athletes will meet on the Saskatoon Mountain road (Highway 43 and RR92). There's a service road that runs parallel to the highway and we will meet there first and then head to our actual spot for practice. I will need a few vehicles to stay for the duration of practice to help run athletes up and down the hill please. U10 athletes bring bikes, the rest of you bring helmets, poles, ski boots, mitts, toques to fit under your helmets and waterbottles on holders, adn roller skis if you have any. Wear bright clothing please as it's a bit busy and coaches will be on bikes to help with safety. It's a 25 minute drive, please arrive early.
