Parent Meeting Update:

  • Alcohol bottles (1 per athlete on the team) need to be brought to a Saturday practice please. All bottles need to be collected by September 24th. 
  • Recycling code for Bottle Depot for the race team is: 2140
  • Registration for the Race Team needs to be completed by September 26th. Registration link will be on the blog by next week. $155/athlete per month
  • Fundraiser- ski ties: $8/pair or $15 for 2 pairs. If you would like some please bring cash to practice or Etransfer clairerichter@me.com and we will deliver them to practice. This is the suggestion for labeling your team straps or we can send them to you pre-labelled. Let us know!


  • U16 athletes need to have a race license. This is completed through the Nordiq Canada website and found here. It's for insurance purposes and for racing purposes. Coach: Claire Richter; Level: L2C; #636201.
  • We will be working on a hoodie design for the team. Kids will be coming home with some ideas and need to vote on it. This is not an obligation, but something that the team loves to do.
  • Teamsnap is up and running and updated documents on it. Please use this to communicate with each other, lost and found and to find team numbers etc.
  • Volunteers: thank you to all the parents who volunteered Sunday with DGLW run. That was wildly successful and we sold 4 pairs of ski ties!! :D A Huge thank you to you all for volunteering in various spots. Everything helps to keep things moving along SO much easier!
    • Amber and Ken will work together to keep someone at the table for board meetings. Thank you both!
    • Garbage picking up: Brandi, Ken & Cheryl will work together on this to ensure we get our usual spots.
    • Hotel bookings for races: this is in the woodworks right now and when it's finalized, we will post it on the blog and team snap for everyone.
    • Amanda will be putting out a sign-up-genius email for meals prior to race weekends. Please keep an eye out for these emails and put your name down where you can.
    • Grandpa Charlie will be bringing in napkins, plates, cups, cutlery and our much needed hot chocolate for the team.
  • tickets for the main fundraiser this year will be ready and notice will be on the blog.

This week:

Tuesday- meet at the Old Canadian Tire Parking Lot. Everyone bring water bottles that you can run with please.

Thursday- meet at Muskoseepi Pavilion- everyone needs water bottles again. 

Saturday- Meet at the South parking lot of the bear creek baseball diamonds, near the metal bridge. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring runners and water bottles. See you then! ๐Ÿ’ฆ☔

meet by the pond in Maple Ridge- just follow the road around on 79 Street from the entrance off of 68 Ave. 10am- 12pm. Juniors- bring your bikes, helmets and water. Seniors- bring your runners, bikes, helmets, and if you have: roller ski gear (vests, poles, boots, pads if you need them, skis). Remember: no helmet or no vest = no biking/skiing.
