October 16-22, 2023.

What a great week of practices team! Well done everyone and a huge thank you to the parents who drove up and down Saskatoon Mountain a billion times for your interval sets! And to the coaches who biked and ran up them an equal amount of times! 😁 I'm so grateful for all of you and your help! Thank you.

  1. There are a few people, including my husband heading to Edmonton or Trail Sports in Canmore this coming week and the next. If you have an order, or need items picked up, please put it out on the TeamSnap chat.
  2. Alberta Winter Games Officials Course. Please ensure that you're registered and the course will be occurring out at the ski lodge this weekend. If you need help with shuttling athletes around please just put it on the TeamSnap chat and someone will be able to help out!
  3. Uniform orders- please mark your size- the only thing that is one-size is the buff actually. Headbands are either S/M or M/L. Jackets- for sizing will be brought to the practices this week for athletes to try on. Those with coats- please bring them. Race suits are typically the same size as your jacket or one size down, I will have Mika's size Small race suit that still fits her (she's 5'11") but they're stretchy! Please ensure you email Claire by October 18th with your order.
  4. I am hoping to have the team long sleeve shirts done in the coming few weeks, I will keep you all posted. Sizes were challenging to find, so some of you may have some room to layer underneath or grow into it. 😊

Tuesday: Mandatory uniform wearing day! Bring your jackets please and we will do some proper sizing for the new orders that are needing to be completed. Meet at Muskoseepi for this fun workout! Ensure runners and water for everyone and those not running, bring roller skis or bike for your warmup only. There is no other running during this workout.

Thursday: Meet at Thrill Hill. Bring your shortest pair of poles and those not running, will be ski striding instead of bounding (bring a bike as back, just in case though). This is a running, ski bounding workout. Bring water and dress appropriately for the changing weather. Cardio day!! 🥳

Saturday: Meet at Maple Ridge- skate roller skiing or biking. I have no more roller skiing vests left (there were 27 and now I don't know). All roller skiers require vests- please ensure you check everywhere in your house for one. They're somewhere... helmets, boots, poles, water bottles with holders and we are not going to be staying put. Bikers- please also look for vests! We're missing about 10. Bring your water bottles and helmets too!
