2026-2027 Season begins!!!
There are a few new faces to the team this year, so this is THE place to look for all information! I sure hope that you all had a great summer and I look forward to seeing everyone in the coming days!

Blog etiquette reminders: At the top is the intro and sometimes a summary of the past week so if you missed anything, usually it's posted at the top. In this second section is the key things for you to remember- sizing, forms, meeting dates, or anything else. PLEASE ALWAYS READ THIS SECTION!!😀 The last section is where to meet and what we're doing (ish). Meaning, I don't tell you the exact workout that we're doing but I let you know what you need to bring and how to be prepared.
Basic Information:
If the blog says that we're running, the expectation is that everyone shows up in shoes that are appropriate to run in and a water bottle on a belt holder of some variation. If we are biking, the expectation is that everyone shows up with a working bicycle, helmet, water bottle on belt/in a holder etc. If we are rollerskiing, the expectation is that if you have your own gear you bring it and if you don't, we have team roller skis for you but you still need to bring your own ski poles, boots, (it is completely understood that at the beginning of the year athletes typically have grown out of gear, but try your best on this please) and helmet and wear bright clothing- we do have team vests that everyone has to wear. If we are skiing (let's hope there's lots of this), the expectation is that everyone shows up with the appropriate gear for the technique planned (strongly suggest always having both sets of gear with you for the 'just in case') and be ready (skis waxed BEFORE practice starts) to be on snow for the start of practices, with a water bottle appropriate for the winter weather- recommend wastebelt holders as they don't freeze as quickly as plastic bottles do.
1. Mandatory parent meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at Muskoseepi Pavilion inside starting at 5:00pm. Please bring questions and we will have details for you then. Registration will be opened after the parent meeting, payments for the team will be discussed in the meeting. My goal continues to keep the cost of team fees low.
2. No Saturday practices until Saturday, 12th of August.
3. Fee structure changes: This year, we will be changing our fee structure to allow families to commit at the beginning of the season to a training schedule of 1x, 2x, or 3x per week.
I completely understand that other sports, activities, and life can sometimes interfere with schedules. However, once you commit to a training level, you will need to remain committed to that schedule throughout the season, with no flexibility to change the level month-to-month.
For example, if you choose the 3x/week option but are unable to attend consistently, your monthly fee will remain the same. The fee is based on the training level you commit to, rather than the number of sessions you are ultimately able to attend.
The monthly fees will be:
- 1x/week training: $50/month
- 2x/week training: $100/month
- 3x/week training: $150/month
Race weekends and additional bonus training days will continue to have no additional team fees.
You will have the opportunity to select your preferred level of participation at the parent meeting.
I hope this structure provides some clarity and helps us create consistency for both the athletes and the team throughout the season. Thank you for your understanding and commitment!
